June 1 - 5th graders, Northland Pine

The day was perfect, the students were ready to learn, with a staff well prepared for teaching and activity. Discovery groups rotated through the following: orienteering with compass, layers of the forest, stream monitoring, and tree identification using a dichotomous key. A big group game of tree tag began the experience, lunch and a fun game of kick ball and mattressing added to it all. Teachers and students left with some good information and happy faces.
